Position: Warehouse Supervisor

Reports To: Warehouse Manager / Operations Manager

Direct Reports: Warehouse Technicians / Operatives

Overview:

The smooth operation of the warehouse and on time delivery of expertly prepped equipment is essential to the ongoing success of the business and therefore the Warehouse Supervisor’s role is a significant role within the business.

The Warehouse Supervisor will take direct management responsibility along with the Warehouse Manager for all warehouse staff and warehouse operations. The role will ensure the continuous improvement of the warehouse operation by focussing and developing its processes, setting standards and effective use of the IT system, working with the Warehouse Manager and other interested parties.

The Warehouse Supervisor will ensure that the equipment is de-prepped and prepped to a very high standard, whilst maintaining a clean and positive work environment.

The Warehouse Supervisor will help create a collaborative team environment in which individuals can thrive and continuously develop their own technical skill levels.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Drive and take responsibility for all de-prep entering the building ensuring equipment is put away and tested in a time efficient manner. Making sure all items are returned and highlighted to the Warehouse Manager when this is not the case.
  • Drive the ethos of continuous improvement for all warehouse processes.
  • Ensure, and instil in others, meticulous checking in of all returned equipment and hired in equipment, informing others as necessary if there are any faults.
  • Ensure staff continue to develop their technical skill, competence and knowledge levels to achieve targets.
  • Brief team daily as to what need to be achieved.
  • Make sure all jobs and dry hires are prepped correctly, on time and to the highest of standard alongside the Warehouse Manager.
  • Ensure that the warehouse and related areas are kept clean and tidy, always.
  • Manage the effective use of space within the warehouse.
  • Implement and ensure all staff are aware and follow all company procedures.
  • In the absence of the warehouse Manager, take responsibility for allocation of jobs to the warehouse team.

Skills & Qualities Required:

  • Technical experience in the Live Audio/ AV industry – preferably (2+ years) in the rental market.
  • Excellent leadership, organisation and delegation skills with ability to work as part of the team.
  • Highly self-motivated, with a flexible and “can do” attitude.
  • Good communication skills – written and oral.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Ability to problem solve and work to tight deadlines.
  • Good IT skills (Microsoft Office suite).
  • Full UK Driver License (max 3 points, with no previous disqualifications).
  • Forklift truck licence holder (preferable however not essential).
  • Flexible work schedule to cover the occasional evening and weekend.


Position: Technical Project Manager/ Engineer – London Venues

Reports To: Venue Business Manager

Direct Reports: Sub-contractors and others representing Delta Live on-site

Overview:

The Project Manager/ Engineer part of the role will form part of the overall Delta Live projects team, focusing their expertise in delivering a full production offer within our accredited venues sector.   The role will manage Venue projects from conception to completion, liaising with clients, venues and suppliers directly.  The role will include the technical facilitation, management and operation of the events as required.  The role will also take responsibility for the subcontractors and other related personnel working onsite.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Responding to Client enquiries and Client liaison, understanding the technical requirements, facilitate their needs and to continually exceed and manage our clients’ expectation (by telephone, email and in person).
  • Design the solutions and equipment specification / quote using software such as CAD and HireTrack as the show requires and schedule the event effectively.
  • Attend event planning meetings.
  • Work within Delta Live’s defined project management processes from concept to delivery, including the financial processes and ensure awareness of each show’s financial contribution.
  • Attend and supervise shows onsite to a high standard.
  • Prepare and distribute all show related health and safety documents as well as producing RAMS as required.
  • Supervise and assist in ensuring that shows are prepped correctly, consistently, cost effectively and on
  • Ability to familiarise yourself with the requirements and constraints of all our London venues, their challenging spaces and unique requirements.
  • Help prepare and supervise the equipment for your shows as required, including the loading and unloading of the equipment.
  • Keep abreast and up to date with all aspects of the market as it develops, particularly those that could deliver a competitive edge, such as new products, new delivery techniques and equipment.

Skills & Qualities Required:

  • A self-motivated, enthusiastic individual with a can-do positive attitude.
  • Driven, confident and articulate.
  • Willing to travel.
  • Willing to work as part of a team but also have the initiative to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills with clients and in-house support team both written and verbal, with strong attention to detail.
  • Be well presented and a positive representative of the Delta Brand at all times.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple projects at the same time and prioritise workloads.
  • Proactive and resourceful, able to use initiative and problem solve.
  • Good operational awareness.
  • Excellent knowledge of event production including technical delivery of lighting, sound reinforcement, AV systems and staging.
  • Knowledge of event timeline from conception to completion, highlighting specific deadlines
  • Ability to work to exacting time pressures and have excellent time keeping.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word etc).
  • Experience with AutoCAD desirable.
  • Knowledge of the requirements of the relevant Health and Safety legislation and procedures.
