Overview:

The Project Manager/ Engineer part of the role will form part of the overall Delta Live projects team, focusing their expertise in delivering a full production offer within our accredited venues sector.   The role will manage Venue projects from conception to completion, liaising with clients, venues and suppliers directly.  The role will include the technical facilitation, management and operation of the events as required.  The role will also take responsibility for the subcontractors and other related personnel working onsite.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Responding to Client enquiries and Client liaison, understanding the technical requirements, facilitate their needs and to continually exceed and manage our clients’ expectation (by telephone, email and in person).
  • Design the solutions and equipment specification / quote using software such as CAD and HireTrack as the show requires and schedule the event effectively.
  • Attend event planning meetings.
  • Work within Delta Live’s defined project management processes from concept to delivery, including the financial processes and ensure awareness of each show’s financial contribution.
  • Attend and supervise shows onsite to a high standard.
  • Prepare and distribute all show related health and safety documents as well as producing RAMS as required.
  • Supervise and assist in ensuring that shows are prepped correctly, consistently, cost effectively and on
  • Ability to familiarise yourself with the requirements and constraints of all our London venues, their challenging spaces and unique requirements.
  • Help prepare and supervise the equipment for your shows as required, including the loading and unloading of the equipment.
  • Keep abreast and up to date with all aspects of the market as it develops, particularly those that could deliver a competitive edge, such as new products, new delivery techniques and equipment.

Overview:

The smooth operation of the warehouse and on time delivery of expertly prepped equipment is essential to the ongoing success of the business and therefore the Warehouse Manager’s role is a significant role within the business.

The Warehouse Supervisor will take direct management responsibility along with the Warehouse Manager for all warehouse staff and warehouse operations. The role will ensure the continuous improvement of the warehouse operation by focussing and developing its processes, setting standards and effective use of the IT system, working with the Warehouse Manager and other interested parties.

The Warehouse Supervisor will ensure that the equipment is de-prepped and prepped to a very high standard, whilst maintaining a clean and positive work environment.

The Warehouse Supervisor will help create a collaborative team environment in which individuals can thrive and continuously develop their own technical skill levels.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Direct line management for warehouse staff along with the Warehouse Manager.
  • Drive the ethos of continuous improvement for all warehouse processes.
  • Drive all de-prep entering the building insuring equipment is put away and tested in a time efficient manner.
  • Ensure, and instil in others, meticulous checking in of all returned equipment and hired in equipment, informing others as necessary if there are any faults.
  • Ensure staff continue to develop their technical skill, competence and knowledge levels to achieve targets.
  • Brief team daily as to what need to be achieved.
  • Make sure all jobs and dry hires are prepped correctly, on time and to the highest of standard alongside the Warehouse Manager.
  • Ensure that the warehouse and related areas are kept clean and tidy always.
  • Manage the effective use of space within the warehouse.
  • Implement and ensure all staff are aware and follow all company procedures.

Skills & Qualities Required:

  • Basic technical experience in the audio/ AV industry – preferably in the rental market.
  • Excellent leadership, organisation and delegation skills with ability to work as part of the team.
  • Highly self-motivated, with a flexible and “can do” attitude.
  • Good communication skills – written and oral.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Ability to problem solve and work to tight deadlines.
  • Good IT skills (Microsoft Office suite).
  • Be able to use HireTrack software (or similar).
  • UK driver’s license (preferable however not essential).

Position: Live Sound Engineer

Reports To: Account Manager

Overview:

This engineering role forms part of the Delta projects team. The role is a key part of the overall engineering delivery for shows at the Roundhouse, as well as opportunities to work on other events
at Outernet London and the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall.

The Live Sound Engineer will be capable of performing all system engineer duties with good understanding of the permanently installed L-Acoustics PA system. The engineer must have the
know-how and ability to make adjustments as and when required during the delivery of the live productions.

The role will often be the senior person onsite during the live delivery and must be able to deal with all situations and reasonable requests during the live production.

The Live Sound Engineer must also be able to manage the requirements of mixing Front-of-House, Monitors, RF or Stage Patch when needed and have excellent communication skills with all levels of staff and production.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Working with the Account Manager, have a good understanding of the overall engineering requirements of each live production.
  • Manage and provide on-site technical sound system expertise for the set up and delivery of live shows at the Roundhouse.
  • To be the on-site ‘go to’ person, dealing effectively with all requirements from the live acts/ act management and venue in whichever capacity.
  • Work within a team of crew and where necessary have the ability to instruct all crew members on-site, ensuring that each member is aware of what is required of them via show briefings.
  • Manage and be aware of all health and safety requirements while on-site and take an active and positive approach to all elements of health and safety.
  • Loading, unloading and setup of equipment when required.
  • Provide on the job training to all individuals who are developing their engineering skill within the Roundhouse.
  • Represent the company in a positive manner to incoming productions, clients and the venue; good appearance, courteous and helpful at all times.
  • When not required on-site, work within Delta’s warehouse on the technical set up of equipment ready for deployment on-site.
  • Advance riders sent from production ahead of event day and flag any queries.

Skills & Qualities Required:

  • Experienced in the technical delivery of music and corporate live shows.
  • Excellent knowledge of audio systems, specifically L-Acoustics (K2, KARA), including design, rigging and tuning.
  • Excellent knowledge of SMAART measurement software.
  • Experience of mixing front-of-house.
  • Experience of mixing monitors.
  • Excellent people skills; a good communicator – written and oral.
  • A good team player, who is also able to work on own initiative.

Overview:

  • We are looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic, Junior Project Manager to join our busy and friendly Events team in our West Molesey office. The Junior Project Manager will be supporting the Events team with evolving policies, procedures and planning relating to the day-to-day operations of events.
  • This position is an office-based position with regular opportunities to work on site both in the UK and abroad. This position would suit someone that has some experience within the events industry and has a passion to learn. Due to the nature of the industry, this would suit someone who is flexible and happy to work outside the normal Monday-Friday, 9-5 hours.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Managers in their duties to manage designated projects from concept to completion.
  • Liaise with clients to support with quotes, event planning, purchase orders, and any issues that arise.
  • Input quotes, system design and specification using our HireTrack system.
  • Attend project meetings with the venue, clients and internal Delta staff.
  • Produce invoice information for the accounts department.
  • Assist in ensuring that shows a prepped correctly, cost effectively and on time.
  • Help to organise, set up and operate equipment on site.
  • Be available to help load and unload equipment as required.
  • Assist with managing the events crew and their personal well-being on-site.

Position: Warehouse Operative/ Equipment Preparation Technician

Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor


Specific Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the servicing, preparation, cleaning and packaging and unpacking of the company’s rental equipment following established procedures.
  • You may be required to assist with loading equipment into/ out of venues off site on occasions.
  • Deal effectively with customers, drivers and others visiting the company’s premises to collect or return orders and equipment.
  • Maintenance and repair of the full range of company’s sound rental stock.
  • Checking equipment list to ensure that all items are included, delivered, operational and cleanly presented.
  • Checking equipment returned from hire, against paperwork. Log any shortages or damages and report to Manager for instruction.
  • Keep all work areas clean, tidy and efficiently organised.
  • Assist in areas of building maintenance and upkeep as required.
  • Loading and unloading of equipment from vehicles. The role involves an element of manual handling of bulky and heavy technical equipment.
  • Always keep all work-related information confidential and act in a professional manner, in all work situations.
  • Identify any areas of our operation where you believe training and additional skills may be required to benefit yourself and the business.
  • Provide feedback within immediate team and to Line Manager of any areas of improvement, development or growth of the business can be achieved.
  • Be aware of and comply with all the company’s policies and procedures, paying attention to the Health and Safety Policy.

Position: Project Manager – Immersive Audio

Reports To: Account Manager

Compensation: Salary negotiable, depending on experience


Key Objectives:

Working with the Account Manager to support upcoming shows from initial quote to onsite running of the event, mostly in London locations. This role will focus on developing the skills in order to be able to plan and implement shows using immersive audio technology (L-ISA) where appropriate.


Specific Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Attend production meetings (both in-person and online) to support the Account Manager in discussing audio options for the upcoming events. Provide quotes based on agreed audio design
  • Work with Account Manager and in-house logistics to coordinate equipment, crewing and transport for events.
  • Act as DeltaLive on-site representative on event days to lead teams and liaise with production.
  • Produce H&S RAMS ahead of event, then manage and be aware of all H&S requirements while working onsite.
  • Identify areas of service to develop and work with Account Manager to achieve.
  • Promote use of L-ISA technology when viable for an event, and work with L-ISA specialist on proposal and delivery.
  • Help manage DeltaLive’s immersive audio studio for client demonstrations and pre-production work.

Immersive Audio:

  • Following L-ISA specific training facilitated by DeltaLive, develop your skills to encompass the technical ability to deliver, prepare and plan an L-ISA enabled show.
  • Raise the profile of L-ISA technology and capability within the teams at DeltaLive.
  • Identify opportunities to use L-ISA technology on shows and improve the creative offering of the audio department.

  • The role will often be the senior person onsite during the live delivery and must be able to deal with all situations and reasonable requests during the live production.
  • The Live Sound Engineer must also be able to manage the requirements of Front of House, Monitors, RF or Stage Patch when needed and have excellent communication skills with all levels of staff and production.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Working with the Account Manager, have a good understanding of the overall engineering requirements of each live production.
  • Manage and provide onsite technical sound system expertise for the set up and delivery of live shows at the Roundhouse.
  • To be the onsite ‘go to’ person, dealing effectively with all requirements from the live acts / act management and venue in whichever capacity.
  • Work within a team of crew and where necessary have the ability to instruct all crew members onsite, ensuring that each member is aware of what is required of them via show briefings.
  • Manage and be aware of all health and safety requirements during the live show and take an active and positive approach to all elements of health and safety.
  • Loading, unloading and setup of equipment when required.
  • Provide on the job training to all individuals who are developing their engineering skill within the Roundhouse.
  • Represent the company in a positive manner to incoming productions, clients and the venue; good appearance, courteous and helpful at all times.
  • When not required on-site, work within Delta’s warehouse on the technical set up of equipment ready for deployment onsite.

Person Spec / Qualities / Qualifications:

  • Experienced in the technical delivery of Music and Corporate live shows.
  • Excellent knowledge of audio systems, preferably L-Acoustics (Kara, K2), including design, rigging and tuning.
  • Excellent knowledge of SMAART measurement software.
  • Experience of mixing Front of House.
  • Experience of mixing Monitors.
  • Excellent people skills; a good communicator – written and oral.
  • A good team player, who is also able to work on own initiative.
  • Ability to problem solve and work to tight deadlines.
  • Highly self-motivated, with a flexible and “can do” attitude.
  • Dexterity and agility; work will be physically demanding at times.
  • Precise attention to detail.
  • Diplomacy and sensitivity on site.
  • Knowledge of the requirements of the relevant Health and Safety legislation and procedures.

We’re Hiring: Head Communications Engineer

 

We are seeking an experienced Head Communications Engineer to manage our radio communications department.

Full Time Role.

Primarily based in West London, close to Hampton Court. Will also be required on-site to deliver projects and events throughout the year.

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to head up our communications department serving Delta’s day to day projects and specialist communications projects and events throughout the year. It’s important that the candidate has a clear focus and understanding on event and communications technology.

The successful applicant will be responsible for client planning alongside operational and technical deliverables for projects involving communications. It will be important have a good general knowledge of Party Line, Matrix products such as Riedel Artist, Clear Com Eclipse, Bolero and Free Speak and will be required to have the technical knowledge base and on-site experience in programming this technology.

They will work closely with other project managers and team members to ensure all comms related needs are appropriately planned and executed. Leading the on-site team and being available as the first point of contact for clients will be important.

They will need to be a team player and have excellent communication skills with both the in-house teams and externally with clients etc.

Have a good user knowledge base and skill in using common IT skills such as Microsoft Office and CAD.

Delta invests in HALO Compact

Delta are pleased to announce that we have recently invested in a further 43 HALO-C compact line array enclosures from UK manufacturer, EM Acoustics.  This brings our total inventory to over 130 units including the system installed at the Royal Albert Hall in 2013.
