Delta Sound were honored to be contracted by Horse Power and the BBC to provide audio support for the recent Somme 100 commemorations in France, arranged jointly by the French and UK Governments.

The main ceremony was held at the Thiepval Memorial where 8 engineers led by project managers Griff Hewis, Rupert Boughton and Mark Sawyer spent a week delivering the event. An L-Acoustic K2 system was installed along with a DiGiCo optical network and two SD5.

The main event was based around an hour of film, music and poetry. The BBC Symphony Orchestra, Morriston Orpheus Male Voice Choir and the Band of the Welsh Guards were just a few of the performances to take place.
