Imperial War Museum

Imperial War Museum London is unique in its coverage of conflicts, especially those involving Britain and the Commonwealth, from the First World War to the present day. They seek to provide for, and to encourage, the study and understanding of the history of modern war and ‘wartime experience’.

Located in Central London close to the City, Westminster and Southbank, IWM London’s famous façade is a stunning Grade II listed building that was formerly home to the Royal Bethlem Hospital – now remembered as ‘Bedlam’.

A spectacular Atrium forms the heart of the museum and a breath-taking hanging gallery in the rooftop provides dramatic views of the floors beneath. Along with their remodeled daytime rooms, IWM London provides the perfect showcase for events big and small, traditional and low-key or high profile and inspirational.
