Canon Europe, in partnership with Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB), recently designed and created an accessible photography exhibition – ‘World Unseen’ – in the East Wing Galleries of Somerset House.
The exhibition is for everyone: blind, partially sighted, and sighted people alike. A tactile walkway guides visitors through the exhibition, where you’re encouraged to touch and feel tactile prints of the imagery, listen to the audio descriptions from the photographers themselves, and read about the photographs and images, embossed in braille.
Delta Live created an immersive ‘sound shower’ solution to isolate the listener within the audio description for each photograph.
