Annual Serpentine Summer Party

At the end of June, as the temperatures soared, the Serpentine Galleries celebrated their Annual Serpentine Summer Party, supported by Chanel. The annual gala event raises vital funds to support the Serpentine’s acclaimed exhibitions, shows and programmes. The Serpentine Galleries champion “the possibilities of new ideas in contemporary art… the Serpentine has presented pioneering exhibitions for almost half a century, showing a wide range of work from emerging practitioners to the most internationally recognised artists of our time, providing a place for them to experiment and an open platform for them to be seen and heard.” The event launched Junya Ishigami’s free-floating Pavilion and honoured Faith Ringgold and Luchita Hurtado with their first exhibitions in Europe.

The event was an outstanding success, enjoyed by all. The Serpentine Galleries are open daily, 10am – 6pm.
