DeltaLive prep for BGT
Filming for Britain’s Got Talent Live Auditions takes place well in advance of the show airing. That means it’s prep time for the DeltaLive team. This is the 14th year that DeltaLive are involved with BGT. Our team have been with the show as it has evolved, enjoying the highs and lows of the performers along the way. Here we go behind the scenes in our warehouse, to see the action before the action.
This involves prepping all of the PA monitoring and equipment required for the audio recording for both the Judges Auditions, which are spread across the country and the Reveal held at the London Palladium. Which is a task in itself, but one that our team are well prepared for.
Before all the equipment and its team of engineers go out onto set, it needs to be prepped. “The key is in the prep” says Fred Jackson, Associate at DeltaLive. “It’s all about how you prep.”
The prep involves equipment allocation, building and final testing of the Front of House consoles and system control. Along with monitor/fold-back system control; record capture consoles and elements; radio mic and In-Ear-Monitor systems; playback and stage support systems and finally all amplification and loudspeakers required for the tour. A rolling studio infrastructure really. Top to bottom.
