Another year of the ultimate gig experience at In the Round Festival is over!
Now in its sixth year, and our second, In the Round Festival is renowned for its eclectic line-ups performing special, intimate gigs with full seating set around the circular stage.
Guests were treated to a number of bespoke shows that saw collaborations and surprises, all making for a truly unique and special experience in the past week:
- BRIT-award winner and multi-platinum artist Emeli Sandé,
- Grime MC and folk singer, Hak Baker,
- Country-tinged, post-punk indie quartet Goat Girl,
- Richard Dawson blending North Country blues and jazzy psych-folk,
- Kingdom Choir’s majestic gospel harmonies radiating across the main space,
- Yung Singh documenting the South Asian diaspora’s involvement in the early 2000s Garage scene,
- and a thrilling and unexpected duet of cascading Kora and stately Cello from Ballaké Sissoko and Vincent Ségal.
It was a pleasure to hear such a melting pot of genres and cultures through our L-Acoustics KARA array hangs set around the famous stage!
