We’ve been the in-house audio suppliers at the Roundhouse in Camden for just over 2 years now, and we’re so glad to be back working on in-person events! We’ve compiled some of our favourites from the past month!
The 1st of the month saw the Roundhouse host the ‘Godfather of Garage’ DJ Spoony, and his high-octane Garage Classical show featuring the 36-piece Ignition Orchestra. In his own words this was a celebration of freedom, music and memories to get October underway with a bang!
On 6th October we rubbed shoulders with a star-studded cast of celebrities including Tom Daley, Rylan Clark-Neal and Scarlett Moffatt for this year’s Virgin Atlantic Attitude Awards. The annual event raises money for the Attitude Magazine Foundation, which in turn benefits LGBTQ+ causes. You can read more about it here.
On October 13th, the C2C Festival curated Stone Island presents London show saw the Roundhouse host the artistic expression of several London-based acts from different geographic areas. The event showcased their voices united under a unique approach to experimenting and innovating, shining a light on the diverse aspects of international avant-garde pop music.
The penultimate Sunday of October, the 24th, was a birthday celebration like no other! The Roundhouse hosted a 10th birthday party for a young refugee puppet named Little Amal. She was joined on-stage by international artists, cultural institutions, community groups and humanitarian organisations. Creating one of the most innovative and adventurous public artworks ever attempted.
Throughout the month we have also been joined by a host of amazing artists, including Skindred, Laura Marling, Villagers, The Waterboys, Amy MacDonald, and Caroline Polachek. With Squarepusher, Snapped Ankles and Cradle of Filth joining us for a suitably gnarly Halloween weekend.
