Delta Sound Dubai recently provided audio and communication services to the UAE National Day celebrations in Dubai for production agency HQ Creative marking the 43rd anniversary of the Union.

This year`s spectacular was hosted opposite the iconic Burj Al Arab hotel and attended by members of the Dubai Royal family alongside a number of government officials as well as a massive public gathering.

The event captured ‘the Spirit of the Union’ and highlighted the development of the nation since its formation in 1971.

Set amongst the residential community of Umm Suqeim, the stage built for the event arched 38m into the skyline spanning 70m across providing a dramatic reveal the firework display set on Jumeriah beach.

The especially composed soundtrack for the event created by Matt Fady of BKP studios set the perfect opportunity for Delta Sound to deliver an imposing 5.1 surround system using its latest L-Acoustics K2 system.

“This year`s build provided us the opportunity to get the audio in all the right places. We were also able to maintain the audio at its highest quality keeping the system digital from its playback on MADI through to the stage racks on the DiGiCo optoloop and finally delivered to the amplifiers on AES.” Mentions Craig Harvey, Senior Engineer at Delta and Audio Project Manager for the event. “It was also great to get the opportunity to put the K2 into action, it’s a very versatile box, lightweight but not compromising a big sound or throw.” He added.
Parallel to the Dubai celebrations, Delta Sound Dubai also delivered sound reinforcement for the capitals national day parade at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. Covering the 300m audience area with K2 and K1 systems.

Not stopping there, over the bay in Qatar, Delta Sound supported the Darb Al Saai National Day site in Doha. The Qatar branch of Delta covered the massive site with a general PA as well as 8 integrated systems for the various activity zones across the 10 day event including the Al Rayyan TVs live traditional dance and poetry competitions and daily game show.
