Football fans keen to experience the exciting atmosphere of the FIFA World Cup outdoors can now beat the heat in Abu Dhabi this summer at the Du Forum at Yas Island. The venue currently offers a chilled, air-conditioned Fan Zone with large LCD screens alongside fun activities and dining options – all under one roof.  The venue seats 900 fans, a heritage theme area and bazaars.

Delta Sound was called by Global Spectrum to deliver and install a compact PA system.  Due to the size of the venue and also their easy installation and flying capabilities, the PA of choice was a HK 112 hung on a truss in pairs. The system was run through 2 Lab Grupen amplifiers, controlled by a Soundcraft EFX8 mixer. The console also received an audio feed from the broadcasting system.

An additional entertainment system, which comprised from 2x Mackie SRM350 was mixed through the Soundcraft EMP6 placed in the VIP/kids soft play area.

A couple of microphones were supplied for emergency announcements and for the MC, these were courtesy of a Shure SM58 and radio mic Sennheiser G3.
