Burns Night Celebration

The DeltaLive Venues team excelled themselves at a recent Burns Night Celebration held at The Wallace Collection in London. The brief was to create a design that would make this supper, in 2020, stand out. We were challenged by our client to provide something a little different in the venue, something we hadn’t done for them in previous years.

Brand identity was really important to our client for this event. So, it was imperative that what we provided reinforced their brand message. Additionally, the client wanted a strong Scottish thistle theme.

DeltaLive provided the video and fully wireless audio systems for the start-of-year seminar and then audio and lighting systems for the ensuing supper.

The solution to incorporating both the brand identity and the Scottish thistle, while creating a unique design in the space, was found through the clever use of lighting. “We used gobos, as we had in previous years. But this time we created one large design across the North wall of the Courtyard to match the design theme already in place.” Said Richard Craig, Project Manager at DeltaLive.

“To achieve this, I worked with our client’s in-house graphic designer. We used elements of the thistle branding they’d already employed throughout their design. On-site we ensured that the design shuttered the surround areas to fit perfectly within the confines of the North wall. The result was impactful lighting to match the strong thistle theme which was present in the lectern branding, presentation slides and literature, helping to tie together the event and celebrate the occasion.”

The event was a great success and we always appreciate words recognising this from our clients. “It was a pleasure working with you and the venue looked great.
