Last Night of the Proms 2019
With the Last Night of the Proms, so comes to an end the 2019 Proms season. DeltaLive are proud to have, once again, been the sound suppliers to the BBC Proms, during its eight-week run, from July to September.
This year has been another exciting one, we have again used the revolutionary L-ISA technology to bring a truly immersive sound experience to the audience. DeltaLive won Best Installation Project for the BBC Proms 2018, so we knew that it would be really important to impress again this year with immersive hyperreal sound.
The Last Night, with all of its fanfare, is a fun way to bid a fond farewell to the Proms. This year was a rousing show, featuring, amongst others, Elgar’s Pomp and Circumstance, Arne’s Rule, Britannia, Verdi’s Triumphal March, Parry’s Jerusalem and finishing with The National Anthem and Auld Lang Syne.
Traditionally the Last Night of the Proms features a selection of rousing pieces of music from around the world along with much flag-waving and a general party atmosphere. This year didn’t disappoint as the world’s largest classical music festival came to a close.
Stephen Hughes is the Account Director at DeltaLive who is responsible for managing the Proms. “The 2019 Proms season was filled with and exciting selection of performances.
