Early April 2018 saw Delta Live provide the audio for the UK’s most prestigious stage awards for the second time.
Once again we are very proud to have supplied the audio for the prestigious Oliver Awards alongside our loyal team of first-class sound engineers. The ceremony was held for a second year at the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday 8th April and excitingly, this year we were also the proud sponsors of the Best Sound Design award.
The awards were initially known as the Society of West End Awards when they started in 1976 until they were renamed in honour of the legendary silver screen actor Laurence Olivier in 1984. Over the years the awards have grown to become the most respected ceremony in the realm of British Theatre.
Breaking records with thirteen nominations and leading the way at the awards this year was none other than the lauded musical Hamilton, collecting seven awards in total. One of these awards was the Delta Live Award for Best Sound Design, won by Broadway Sound Designer Nevin Steinberg for his work on the enormously popular Musical.
