UNICEF Blue Moon Gala

Concerts

We were joined by stars of stage and screen last Wednesday at the UK Committee for UNICEF’s inaugural Blue Moon Gala, taking place in London’s major new immersive media, music and culture district, Outernet Global.

It was an honour for us to be in involved in this event, commemorating a significant moment in the history of UNICEF, 75 years as the leading organisation working for children around the globe.

The venue was a fitting host for such an event. The Blue Moon Gala was staged within Outernet’s centrepiece, The Now Building, boasting jaw-dropping digital screens standing four stories high and covering 23,000 square feet of floor to ceiling. The room offers 360-degree, 16K, wrap-around screens for immersive digital experiences the likes of which have never been seen before and the largest in the world.

The star-studded event welcomed guests such as the UNICEF UK President, Olivia Colman, and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, David Beckham, who both both spoke about the life changing work of UNICEF. Guests were treated to performances from double Grammy Award nominee, BRIT Awards and Mercury Prize winning singer Arlo Parks, and iconic 80s band Duran Duran, who performed some old favourites as well as tracks from their new album.

We built a PA worthy of those who took to stage, providing a stereo L-Acoustics KARA and SB28 system, controlled by a DiGiCo SD5 console.
