Grand Opening of the Parisian Hotel Macau

Events, Macau

Deltasound were asked by the Hong Kong office of Uniplan, a global production company to supply the communications and audio playback devices for the grand opening of the 3000 room, Parisian hotel and casino in Macau.

Delta supplied two Merging technology Horus units, along with Merging PCs. These were running Masscore software, and using the Pyramix and Ovation audio software packages to edit and control the audio files.

Lewis Miranda looked after all aspects of editing and content on Delta Sound’s behalf, we just had to feed him coffee and Pringles!

The comms system was comprised of a Clearcom Eclipse matrix frame, with two Helixnet bases and a Freespeak ii base looking after all of the wired and wireless devices. 16 1u and 2u IP panels were used around the venue, using the IP connectivity of the devices, meaning the team were able to use the venues internal network to VLAN panels pretty much anywhere in the venue.

Optocore X6R-FX intercom units were used for the main trunks to the various nodes around the site. These carried not only the 4 wire feeds and Ethernet lines, they also acted as timecode distribution around the venue. The Optocore devices carried audio and timecode to and from the 5th floor of the Eiffel Tower, which stands proud over the entrance to the hotel and casino.

Delta were very proud to be chosen to help with the project in such a new (if not a little wet) and vibrant area.
