The Fashion Awards 2019

The Fashion Awards 2019 took place on Monday 2 December at the iconic Royal Albert Hall in London. “The Fashion Awards recognises creativity and innovation in fashion, celebrating exceptional individuals whose imagination and creativity have broken new ground in fashion globally over the past 12 months, and the brands and businesses that have transformed the possibilities of fashion today.” Guests this year included, amongst others, Naomi Campell, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Rita Ora, Emelia Clarke, Donatella Versace, Julia Roberts, Cate Blanchett and Giorgio Armani.

DeltaLive was briefed by Done + Dusted to supply the audio and communications for this prestigious awards evening. The acts on the night included Little Simz, Boy George and Eric Clapton who played as the BFC presented awards such as Fashion Icon to Naomi Campbell and Outstanding Achievement to Giorgio Armani (see a full list of the winners here).  

For the audio, DeltaLive supplied DiGiCo SD7 and SD8 desks, Shure Axient Digital radio microphones and Sennheiser 2000-series In-Ear-Monitors (IEMs). We also supplied the engineering and all of the audio infrastructure for the awards in the Hall and the performing artists.

As communications specialists we were well placed to provide the equipment and on-site communications for the night. They included a matrix system that interfaced with existing equipment in the hall. We also provided radios which interfaced into broadcast. The result was a bespoke communications solution, enabling teams to communicate clearly with one another so the evening could run smoothly.
